ABOUT THE JOBCome join one of the strongest performing mixed reality teams in the industry, dedicated to revolutionizing experiences for the warfighter. You will develop and optimize advanced game development and game engine technologies that drive real-time simulation, immersive training, and critical mission planning capabilities. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills as you contribute to national defense initiatives while pushing the boundaries of mixed reality.
The Senior Software Engineer, Camera Calibration will focus on developing and refining calibration methodologies to ensure high-precision camera parameter estimation critical for downstream applications such as 3D reconstruction and SLAM. This role involves designing calibration procedures, analyzing calibration data, troubleshooting hardware-software interactions, and collaborating with optical and imaging teams to improve overall camera system accuracy and reliability.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
- Experience with mathematical packages in C++ and Python, e.g., ceres, Eigen, numpy, scipy, and numeric computing platforms such as MATLAB/Octave or Jupyter
- Experience with camera calibration techniques and tools (e.g., OpenCV, MATLAB)
- Strong understanding of geometric image formation and imaging systems
- Ability to analyze and interpret calibration data accurately
- Good communication skills to work across hardware and software teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with multi-camera systems and stereo calibration
- Knowledge of lens distortion models and correction methods
- Familiarity with automated calibration setups in manufacturing
